Nook Coffee Bar is located in The Lab, which - if you're familiar with Costa Mesa, is a trendy little area to hang out in. Parking is atrocious during peak summer months (and weekends) but thankfully, we found ourselves in an overflow parking lot (which was convenient because we just wanted a sweet treat). My friend and I both opted for the Strawberry Matcha - although it's not a drink with little strawberry bits in it, it definitely hits the spot on a summer's day. I felt like the matcha wasn't too milky, and the strawberry was just subtle enough. A great, refreshing choice! The space itself is pretty small, so keep that in mind if you are looking for a place to study.

One of my favorite coffee spots in the Orange County area! It's located in The LAB Anti-Mall in Costa Mesa (although I believe there is a second location at The Enclave in Torrance, so if that's closer to you, definitely go check it out!) and it's my go-to spot when people are visiting and they're on the hunt "for a good cup of coffee". One of my favorite things to order is the Coastline Cold Brew, which is a cold brew with coconut & macadamia syrup as well as oat milk. It has a similar vibe to the Oahu Joe coffee from Phin Smith, so if you're a fan of that but don't want to drive all the way out to Garden Grove, this one will satisfy your taste buds as well! It's not technically listed on the menu, but you can also order the drink hot (just ask for a "hot latte, coastline style" and the barista should know what to do). Highly recommend stopping by here next time you're in the area! I've heard they've got great matcha drinks as well, I'll be back soon to try some of those!

The Island Matcha Latte is so so good! I think this may have ruined all other matcha's forever now. Inside of shop is very cute as well. Probably not big enough to sit inside during a busy day to do work though. Would highly recommend coming here for a drink regardless.

This is my family's go-to coffee shop in OC. You know it's a good coffee place when you go here often without having the need to look for another place. We order our drinks and replenish our coffee beans from here regularly. It feels like a part of my home at this point, so much so that I've been coming here for years and just recently realized that I never wrote a review about Nook. Ambiance is relaxing and down to earth. Lots of shops nearby to explore after grabbing your coffee. Also lots of places to sit outside if you want to catch up with a friend. On the weekends, the line can get long, but they're fast at making their drinks.

I was really excited to try this place after hearing so many great reviews! I came on a busy day, but the service was quick and friendly. Located in The Lab Anti-Mall so be prepared for potential traffic in the parking lot. The store itself was easy to find, very clean, and spacious. There was plenty of seating both inside and outside, with additional spots throughout the mall. The menu offered a good range of coffee drinks and matcha options. I had heard great things about their matcha, so I ordered the standard matcha for $5.50. Having tried a lot of matcha that's popular on TikTok, I'm thrilled to have found this place it's now my go-to coffee shop! The matcha was perfectly sweet and well-mixed, with no graininess. At $5.50, it's reasonably priced compared to other places I've been. I also noticed they sold a coconut pudding dessert called KOKONUT, which is dairy-free and looks absolutely delicious! It comes in flavors like original, mango, peach, black sesame, matcha, and cold brew! An added bonus: you can check in here and get 10% off your order! I can't wait to come back and try more of their drinks. The only downside is the limited and sometimes crowded parking, but it's definitely worth it!

A cute little nook tucked away in The LAB Anti-Mall! With plants everywhere, Sonny Angels peeking from behind the appliances, and hipster modular tables and seats, Nook Coffee Bar has their aesthetics on lock! The interior is absolutely beautiful! Will note that seating isn't the most plentiful, since it's a smaller shop. More of a grab-n-go place. Their matcha latte was quite solid! It boasted a nice color and a rather balanced ratio between matcha and milk. While the matcha flavor wasn't the strongest, it was still a really enjoyable cup!

Came about 3 years ago and it has changed but in a more pleasing aesthetic kind of way. I was greeted and was able to be applied the discount when checking in with the Yelp App. The woman was kind and patient with me as I had adjusted my coffee order to my Mexican Chai. My favorite still when I had last had it. I also ordered the mushroom danish. It was the type of savory breakfast item that I was craving. So delicious and they warm up for you. I came in the morning when it just had opened so it wasn't too packed out yet. Parking was spacious but I know that in the area this establishment is held, parking can get filled somewhat quickly. So earlier the better.

DELICIOUS Coffee!! WITH PLANTS FOR SALE TOO! This is the second Nook location I've been to and they are both great and located in unique places. This one is in The Lab Anti-Mall in Costa Mesa. It was my first time here and it was super hipster but unique and cool. I wish I had more time to browse around. I LOVED that this shop has a whole wall dedicated to plants for sale!! We got a Hot Vanilla Latte and a Coastline Cold Brew no mac syrup just coconut. SUPER DELICIOUS!

I decided to stop by Nook Coffee Bar since I was getting donuts over at Good Town Doughnuts at The Lab. This place is busy. Even at 8:30 a.m. on a Friday, there was a line out the door. They don't offer online ordering for pickup, so you just have to wait in line. The shop is cute! It has a modern and chic vibe. It's cozy and has a calm aesthetic. The service was friendly too! I ordered a Spanish Latte ($6) and regular hot Latte ($5.25). They were good, but nothing special. I think that if you're craving a good latte and happen to be at The Lab, this is a good place to go. Otherwise, I wouldn't make the trip out here just to get their lattes. They do sell specialty coffee beans from a variety of coffee roasters such as Onyx, but I don't think they use specialty coffee beans here. If they do, then I couldn't taste any notes in the beans they used for our lattes. If they keep the Yelp check-in 10% off offer, I think it's worth coming here when you want a coffee to go with your donuts :).
